Security Guard, 24, Murdered On Job, DeKalb Police Offering $10K Reward
Henry Ashley was shot and killed on the job after checking out "suspicious" activity on the property, according to DeKalb police.
DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A 24-year-old security guard was shot and killed on the job, according to DeKalb County police.
A $10,000 reward is available for information that will help police make an arrest, they said. Henry Ashley was working Feb. 19 at 8455 Mall Parkway in Stonecrest, according to police. Around 11 p.m. police said he checked out an alert on the property about a suspicious person. After confronting the suspects he was shot moments later while in his marked work vehicle, police said.
Ashley was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries, police said.

The five suspects left in a gray vehicle and now police said they need help identifying them. If anyone has information or recognize any of the suspects or the vehicle involved in the murder, they are urged to call DeKalb homicide detectives with tips at (770) 724-7850 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
