Boy Shot At Decatur Skating Rink Identified, Family Offering $10K Reward: Reports

The family of D'Mari Johnson will hold a news conference and is offering a $10,000 reward, according to reports.

DECATUR, GA — The 11-year-old boy shot outside of a Decatur skating rink and who is in critical condition, has been identified as D’Mari Johnson, according to reports. His family will hold a news conference Monday at 11 a.m., reported WGCL-TV.

The family will be joined by their attorneys Shean Williams and Gary Andres of The Cochran Firm, reported WGCL. According to the DeKalb County Police Department, on April 10, shortly after 11 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person shot at the Golden Glide skating rink, which is at 2750 Wesley Chapel Rd. in Decatur.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. D’Mari was shot in the head and is in a medically-induced coma fighting for his life, his parents told WSB-TV.
