2,000 DeKalb County Residents Received Vaccines, $100 Gift Cards
DeKalb County administered COVID-19 vaccinations over the weekend at a community event.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — An estimated 2,000 COVID-19 vaccinations were administered Saturday in DeKalb County, according to a news release.
All persons receiving a vaccination also received a $100 prepaid debit card.
From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., DeKalb County Board of Health and DeKalb County Fire Rescue administered voluntary COVID-19 vaccinations to anyone 12 years of age and older at the old K-Mart located at 5597 Buford Hwy. NE in Doraville.

“We are overwhelmed by the turnout for this COVID-19 vaccination event where more people have taken action to protect themselves, their families and community,” said DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond in the release.
To date, DeKalb County has vaccinated more than 8,000 people during its large vaccination events.
