$250K Reward Offered For Tips In Slaying Of DeKalb Postal Worker: Reports

The postal service is offering a $250,000 reward for tips that lead to the arrest of a gunman who killed a postal worker on his route.

DECATUR, GA — A $250,000 reward is being offered by the United States Postal Inspection Service for information that leads to an arrest in the killing of a postal worker in DeKalb County, authorities said Monday.

Postal worker Dequavious Graves, 31, was shot and killed on Feb. 12 just before 7 p.m. while completing a route on Oxford Drive in Decatur, according to 11 Alive.

Video from a nearby home showed the suspect opened fire on Graves' mail truck. Investigators are trying to determine if he was specifically targeted, WSB-TV reported.

Graves had worked for the United States Postal Service for three years.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering the reward of up to $250,000 for anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect in Graves' death.

Authorities said the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, and no one should approach the suspect.
