4 key ways to stay healthy this summer!
When you think of summer you think of hot days, sitting by the pool, and barbequing with friends. All very important aspects to a good summer but sometimes you can lose sight of the most important thing, staying healthy! At CCCG (Care and Counseling Center of Georgia) we are committed to providing the community with tools and resources for a healthy mind, body and soul. Follow these 4 simple steps for a relaxing and healthy summer!

1) Exercise! Running (or walking) with a group of friends not only gets you up and active but also creates a fun activity to share with your friends making the exercise much less tedious and more of a fun outing! Sitting at the pool is great, but add in some laps to get that heart rate up. There are many ways to exercise and finding friend to share the activity makes you mare likely to follow through. This summer Care and Counseling Center of Georgia is sponsoring Team CCCG for the Peachtree Road Race! So, if you have a race number, join our team for the 10k on the 4th of July. 2) Eating right! No doubt that one of the best parts of summer is all the delicious food but did you know there is a plethora of local farmers markets? Get a few friends together and hit up some of these spots! Check out Local Harvest’s website to find a farmers market near you! Not only will you be eating better but you’ll also be supporting local businesses! Win- win!
3) Me time! Sometimes we forget how important it is to take some time for ourselves. Even if its jut 10-20 minutes everyday of reading some of your favorite book, sitting outside, drawing, painting, or anything that YOU love to do. Doing something for yourself is the best way to get a break from your busy life and help you stay relaxed and energized for all that life throws at you!
4) Be part of your community! Whether this is faith based, neighborhood based, or common interest based its so crucial to be a part of a group of supportive, positive people. Having positive and supportive people in your life will help keep you on the right track and be there to pick you up when you need it most!
