Missing 4 Year-Old-Boy With Autism Drowned In Pond Near Home: DeKalb County Police

Four-year-old Kyuss Williams disappeared from his home along Fair Pines Cove, police said. His body was found in a nearby pond, they said.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — The body of a four-year-old boy family reported missing Monday was found in a pond near his home, according to DeKalb County police.

Police said Kyuss Williams, who was autistic, appeared to have drowned and that it seemed to be an “unfortunate” accident. His body was recovered from the pond around 2 a.m., police said. The investigation will continue, they said. No one is facing charges.

The child was reported missing 10 minutes after wandering away from his home along Fair Pines Cove Monday, according to police. They said Kyuss disappeared around 6:20 p.m.

According to WSB-TV, the boy's family was visiting family and everyone was inside when they noticed Kyrus had wandered off.

A neighbor told WAGA-TV that searchers didn't focus on the pond area a surveillance video from a convenience store across the street showed the boy headed in that direction.
