COVINGTON, GA — Five people were killed Saturday and a sixth person was in critical condition following a crash on State Route 142 in Covington, according to reports.
The five people who died were in the same vehicle, 11 Alive in Atlanta reported.
The sixth person was the driver of another vehicle, The Covington News reported, quoting the Newton County Sheriff's Office, which said the driver was in critical condition.

The 11 Alive report said there were several vehicles involved in the crash at the intersection of State Route 142 and Adams Circle, which was closed for several hours.
