DeKalb County, GA –

Staring Tuesday, September 20, 2016, the Junior League of DeKalb County will begin taking orders for its 5th Annual Poinsettia Sale. Decorate your own home or give these gorgeous plants to your friends, neighbors, clients and colleagues.

Purchase red or white poinsettias in different sizes to meet your decorating or gifting needs:

  • 6-inch poinsettias - $10 each
  • 10-inch poinsettias - $20 each

The poinsettias will be available for pick-up Friday, November 25, 2016 to Monday, November 28, 2016, at the Mary Gay House, 716 W. Trinity Place Decatur, GA 30030.

Proceeds from the 5th Annual Poinsettia Sale support the League's commitment to developing exceptionally qualified civic leaders who can identify the community’s most urgent and pressing needs and address them with meaningful and relevant programs and initiatives. The Junior League of DeKalb County focuses its volunteer efforts on promoting the development of early reading and language skills in DeKalb County. In the coming months, the Junior League of DeKalb County will staff and sponsor an after school book club at the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta, Jones Club, at which trained JLD volunteers will help students improve their reading and comprehension skills each week during the 8-10 week program. In addition, Junior League of DeKalb County volunteers will work to support other programs and initiatives developing early reading and language skills in DeKalb County, through partnerships with the DeKalb Library Foundation, DeKalb County Schools and the Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students, among others.
