ATLANTA (January 23, 2014) – 7 Hens eatery, the champion of chicken schnitzel sandwiches in metro Atlanta, is proud to announce that the chicken it serves is Halal. This is a major advantage to the ever-growing observant Muslim community, as there are “relatively few places that serve Halal meat and most of them seem to provide only Middle Eastern food,” said 7 Hens owner, Michael Gurevich. “I am proud and happy to serve the Muslim community and offer it a ‘window to flavors of world’ through chicken schnitzel,” he added. “It is the best-tasting chicken out there, and the fact that it is Halal only made it easier for me to choose it over the other chicken purveyors,” Gurevich stated. The source of the chicken is Mar-Jac poultry (www.marjacpoultry.com) in Gainesville GA, a poultry processor that won awards for sustainable practices.

7 Hens’ mission is to introduce chicken schnitzel sandwich as an alternative to the more commonly known fast-food items. The culinary philosophy of 7 Hens is about exploring food traditions from countries around the world, honing in on the representative elements, and serving those in a fun, down-to-earth, friendly ambiance.

This philosophy allows for 7 fixed countries to shine through: American, Mexican, French, Italian, Chinese, Indian, and German. The rotating countries in the past were the Thai, Jamaican, and Greek.

The chicken at 7 Hens is locally sourced and all-natural from Mar-Jac poultry in Gainseville, GA. It is also Halal. The schnitzel is typically served as a sandwich ($7.49), but can also be served as a wrap ($7.49), plate ($8.99), or salad ($7.99). A build-your-own sandwich version is also available ($5.99).

7 Hens was started by Michael Gurevich in June 2012, when Gurevich wanted to bring a “staple food item” from his native country to the Atlanta market. The fact that schnitzel is hugely popular in Europe and around the world but not so much in the USA made this young entrepreneur embark on the challenge of penetrating the market and creating a demand for chicken schnitzel sandwich as an alternative to burgers, pizza, standard sandwiches and burritos.

Schnitzel is a widely common cooking technique where one pounds, breads, and fries a piece of boneless meat to create a tender inside and crunchy outside.

7 Hens is located at 2140 North Decatur Road, Decatur, GA 30033 and is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. For more information visit www.7hens.com or http://www.zabihah.com/d/Decatur+34415+7-Hens/
