All About Developmental Disabilities Taps Tosha Connors as Director of Development

All About Developmental Disabilities (AADD), a nonprofit providing advocacy, family support services and training for Georgia families living with developmental disabilities, has hired Tosha Connors as Director of Development. In her new role, she will work to substantially increase awareness, donations and support for the developmental disability community. Connors reports to AADD’s Executive Director, Kathy Keeley.

Before joining AADD, Connors was the director of development for Little Sisters of the Assumption Family Health Service in New York City. Prior to that she served as development director for Boys Town and as development manager of major gifts for Bright Beginnings, both in Washington, D.C. She was the student director of sponsorship for Safe Campuses Now in Athens, GA.

Connors received her Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs from Columbia College in South Carolina and her Master of Public Administration with a focus on nonprofit management from the University of Georgia.

“I am thrilled to join the staff of AADD! Disability is one of the remaining frontiers in the fight for equality and one that I am committed to serving,” Connors said. “Over the next few years, I hope that we can elevate our concerns and issues for the disability community statewide and beyond.”

Developmental disabilities are defined as severe chronic disabilities that limit three or more critical functional abilities. Examples include Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, autism disorders, fetal alcohol disorders and intellectual disabilities. These disabilities often manifest early in life (before age 18) and last a lifetime.
