Adopt a Heartworm Positive Dog from One of Our Shelters, and LifeLine Animal Project Will Provide Free Heartworm Treatment!
Also, meet a cuddly girl named Gazelle who hopes to be your couch potato copilot!

Treating a dog with heartworms can be expensive, costing anywhere from $500 to $1,000, so shelter dogs who have heartworms are often overlooked at adoption time. Now potential adopters can consider adopting a heartworm positive dog without worrying about the expense.
Since LifeLine Animal Project believes that all shelter pets deserve great homes, we’re offering FREE heartworm treatment for any heartworm positive dog who gets adopted from one of our shelters! After adoption, the new pet parent simply makes an appointment to bring their dog back to the shelter for treatment, and the dog will be treated at no charge.
All dogs, even those who spend most of their time indoors should be on heartworm prevention medicine, since it only takes a bite from one carrier mosquito to give the dog this potentially fatal disease. The only way to prevent heartworm disease is by giving your dog heartworm prevention medicine, which must be acquired from a licensed veterinarian. And the only way to detect heartworms is to have your dog tested annually.
