DEKALB COUNTY, GA — An alleged cult leader was denied bond Friday by a DeKalb County judge due to being a possible flight-risk and intimidating witnesses, reported WSB-TV.
Eligio Bishop, or “Nature Boy” faces several charges, including rape and false imprisonment. He was arrested on April 14 after a raid on his DeKalb County home on Arbor Chase, reported the news station.
Bishop is a former model, stripper, and barber, according to a 2017 report from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation obtained by WSB.

According to WXIA-TV, Bishop was arrested after a former member of the cult, who identified herself as his girlfriend, said he posted revenge porn "because she left him."
More women have spoken up since leaving the cult, including a woman who said she was Bishop’s wife, reported WXIA. The woman said they were all sexually coerced and abused.

Bishop’s social media accounts focus on his own messianic self-image and Black liberation messaging, but the cult reportedly began as one centered around sexual and naturalist themes, reported WXIA.
