Murder Suspect Arrested In Fatal Shooting Of 2 At DeKalb Sleepover

A 13-year-old and a 45-year-old were killed in a shooting at a sleepover that several boys were attending in DeKalb County, authorities say.

HAMPTON, GA — A 21-year-old man is facing murder charges after being accused of firing shots into a DeKalb County home, killing a teenage boy and a man at a sleepover, authorities said Tuesday.

Clayton County Police assisted DeKalb fugitive officers and the U.S. Marshals Service in arresting Keyshun Webb on Tuesday in the 1700 block of Portwest Way in Hampton, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office.

Webb was accused of firing multiple shots into a Rockcliff Road home Thursday in unincorporated DeKalb, killing 13-year-old Demarcus Shirley and 45-year-old Chauncey Newman.

Authorities added several boys attending a sleepover were inside the home at the time of the shooting. No other people were harmed, authorities said.

Webb was arrested on charges of two counts of murder, eight counts of aggravated assault with a weapon and one count of cruelty to animals, authorities said. He is being held without bond at the DeKalb County Jail, authorities said.

A motive in the shooting was not revealed.

“The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office remains committed to ensuring individuals accused of violent crimes are located and brought into custody,” DeKalb County Sheriff Melody M.
