Decatur Resident Walter Reeves Will Speak and Broadcast his Radio Show at The 2013 Spring Atlanta Home Show

The Spring Atlanta Home Show, Georgia’s largest home show (www.AtlantaHomeShow.com), will return to the Cobb Galleria Centre Friday-Sunday, March 22-24, 2013.  The popular annual event will bring together over 350 experts in the home remodeling and landscaping industries to showcase the latest products and services for homes of all sizes and styles.  This year, for the first time, Jeff Devlin of the DIY Network will bring his entertaining blend of know-how and good humor to the Reliable Heating & Air Home Show Stage, headlining a roster of exciting speakers who will appear throughout the three-day event, including DeKalb resident Walter Reeves.  The Spring Atlanta Home Show is a SEMCO Show.

Walter Reeves, well-known to DeKalb residents as “the Georgia Gardener”, will kick off the speaker schedule at noon on Friday, March 22 with a presentation on “Newest and Coolest Garden Tools”.  He’ll be followed on Friday by HGTV’s Tonya M. Williams and Joe Washington who will present “As the Real Estate World Turns” and “The Right Plant in the Right Place the Right Way” respectively.  Saturday will begin with two live radio broadcasts.  First Reeves will take the air with The Lawn and Garden Show, followed by Belinda Skelton guest hosting The Home Fix-It Show, both on FM 95.5 and AM 750 News/Talk WSB.  Skelton will also broadcast her new WSB show, Belinda Skelton’s Atlanta Living from the Atlanta Home Show from 1-3 p.m. Additional presentations throughout the weekend will cover aging in place, interior design, home improvement and much more.  See the full schedule at www.AtlantaHomeShow.com.

“The Spring and Fall Atlanta Home Shows offer homeowners one-stop shopping like no other event,” said Show director Michael Schoppenhorst.  “Here they can see new products demonstrated, ask questions, talk to the experts, comparison shop and enjoy demonstrations by nationally-known home and landscape professionals.  We are excited to welcome Jeff Devlin to the Reliable Heating & Air Home Show Stage for the first time.  He’s well-known from his hits on the DIY Network and I think his presentations will be very popular.  One lucky person and a guest will win the opportunity to have brunch with Jeff on Saturday, March 23.  Details on how to enter the contest will be announced on the Atlanta Home Show’s official Facebook page www.facebook.com/atlantahomeshow.  Plus, one lucky attendee will win a brand new kitchen from IKEA,” he said.

One of the most popular exhibits each year is the SeeThru House, staffed by the experts of ConsultAHomePro.com.  Here, attendees will learn what happens behind a home’s walls, above the ceiling and under the floor, and can ask questions and discuss ideas with plumbers, electricians, carpenters, general contractors and other professionals who will be at the exhibit every day.  The 3,000-square-foot exhibit is designed to demonstrate the internal workings of a home including plumbing, decking, electrical systems, security, fireplaces, insulation and more.

Another don’t-miss area is the Home for All Ages display.  Experts on aging in place will demonstrate the newest products and ideas for making homes safe and accessible for persons of all abilities, including seniors, and multi-generational living situations.  Members of the National Aging in Place Council will be hosting a series of daily seminars and will be on hand to offer personalized information and answer questions.
