Atlantans invited to ride with pro bike racer and Decatur native, Joey Rosskopt

-- 100 percent of 'Ride with Joey' proceeds to benefit Atlanta Bicycle Coalition –

On Sunday, November 16, 2014, Decatur native and professional bike racer, Joey Rosskopf, is inviting Atlantans to join him for a two-hour loop ride out to Stone Mountain that will benefit the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition.

Afterward, attendees will enjoy a tasting of award-winning, Belgium-style beer courtesy of the event’s host, Three Taverns Brewery. At the tasting, attendees will have the opportunity to ask Joey questions and get to know the hometown star.

“Ride with Joey” proceeds will help the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition’s efforts to create a healthier, more livable Atlanta.

Joey has had a breakout year with the Hincapie Development Team, winning the KOM jersey at Tour of Utah and finishing 6th overall at this year’s USA Pro Cycling Challenge. He received extensive national TV camera time on Utah’s Stage 6 when he broke away with Cadel Evans, eventually finishing 2nd.

Phil Legget called him the “late season American sensation.” His season has been rewarded by signing with the BMC racing team.
