Atlanta's Core Dance Premieres Human Landscapes
Choreographer Germana Civera's new work follows eight dancers on a migrant journey and is a featured event of France-Atlanta 2017.
On October 26, Atlanta's Core Dance and international choreographer Germana Civera premiered Human Landscapes, a collaborative work between Association Inesperada and Core Performance Company, that seeks to express through dance the physical and mental forms of alienation that unite all migrants.
Performed to an original score by Didier Aschour, choreographer Germana Civera draws on her family’s own years in exile during the Spanish Civil War to create a multi-sensory performance in which the audience moves throughout the venue, following eight dancers on a migrant journey.
Human Landscapes is a featured event at France-Atlanta 2017. The performances continue through October 29, 2017 at The B-Complex in Atlanta, Georgia.
