Avondale Egg Hunt, Dog Parade Winners Announced

AVONDALE ESTATES, GA -- The winners have been announced from Avondale Estates' quirky annual Easter Egg Hunt and Dog Parade.

At the egg hunt, the following children found a "Winner" egg and won prizes:

• 2 and under: George Wood, Oscar Najarro, Lydia Sankey
• 3-4 years: Theodore Tanzer, Henry Talbot, Sima Bahr
• 5-7 years: Kathy Kropp, Everett Berglund, Noah Tarquetil
• 8-10 years: Libby Grace Fisher, Ansley Hightower, Connor Watson

At the dog parade, around Avondale Lake, there were no shortage of winners, either. They were:

Best Costume

First Prize: Dougie (Pug) owned by Greta Mattingly

Second Prize: Sadie (Rhodesian Ridgeback mix) owned by Bella Burnham. Sadie was dressed as Peter Pan and Bella as Tinker Bell.

Most Spirited

First Prize: Snowball (Bichon Frise) owned by Kathryn Russell

Second Prize: Pugsley (Pug) owned by Eric, Ridgely, Emerson and Vivi Green

Best Owner/Dog Duo

Chrissy (Chow/Retriever Mix) owned by John Gaul and Marty (Miniature Doberman Pincher/Chihuahua Mix) owned by Gregg Locke

Best Behaved

First Prize: Lollipop (Heinz 57) owned by Jackson and Ethan Austin-Cruse

Second Prize: Beautiful "Bao" Bridges (Chinese Crested Powder Puff) owned by Melissa O'Shields
