Avondale Estates Restaurant Closing After Less Than Two Years

Citing lack of business and development, the owners of The Bishop say their last day will be Nov. 29.

The Bishop in Tudor Village will close on Nov. 29 after only 18 months in business.

The owner of the restaurant told the AJC that her business wasn’t getting the volume of customers needed to remain open. Luellen Marshall also expected more development in Avondale Estates by now.

Avondale Estates is also losing another business at year’s end, as Ray’s Indian Originals is closing on Dec. 30. The city’s oldest business also says walk-in business no longer supports a brick-and-mortar location, but the store will continue with its Internet sales.
