Bicyclist Robbed at Decatur Intersection

The victim told police he was riding his bike when a man pulled up in a car, got out and pointed a gun at him.

DECATUR, GA — Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened around 11:50 pm on Monday night.

The victim told police he was riding his bike on Devonshire at Melrose avenues when a vehicle passed him at the intersection. A man then got out of the passenger side of the vehicle and pointed a gun at him.

The victim fell backward onto the ground and the suspect began going through his pockets and took his cell phone/wallet case.

Police said the suspect then got back into the vehicle and sped away on Melrose Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 20 year old, 5’10” with a thin build, wearing a white tank top and a white hockey mask. The suspect's vehicle was described as older model, white and emitting a loud knocking noise.
