Boy, 4, Shot To Death In DeKalb Publix Parking Lot: Police

A boy was struck by a bullet while sitting in the car outside of a DeKalb County Publix, according to police.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A four-year-old boy was accidentally shot in a Publix parking lot on Panola Road Sunday night, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.

The child was sitting in the car with a family member around 5 p.m. when he was shot, police said.

The boy, who hasn't been named, was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries, police said. No one else was injured, according to police, who said they don't believe this was a road rage incident.
