Burglars Steal TV, Game System in Monday Afternoon Theft

The burglary happened around 2 pm on 4th Avenue in Decatur.

Police are investigating a Monday afternoon burglary on 4th Street in which two TVs, a tablet and a game system was stolen from a Decatur residence.

A 9-1-1 caller reported seeing four people entering the house around 1:30 pm, according to Decatur police Lt. Jennifer Ross.

“Two suspects were carrying televisions, one suspect was holding a handgun and one suspect was holding an unknown object,” Ross said. “ The suspects entered a white vehicle, believed to be a Honda Civic, and drove southbound on 4th Avenue towards Hosea Williams Boulevard.”

Police believe entry into the residence was made by forcing in the front door. The residents arrived and reported two televisions, a tablet and a game system missing from the house.

The suspects were described as four young black males, 15 to 21 years old, 5’10” to 6 feet tall. One was wearing a red shirt and another was wearing a white shirt.
