Mister John's Music hosts an all-ages open mic night monthly where kids and adults alike can show their stuff!
Our open mic nights are held in our classroom space at Olive and Pine in Avondale Estates.
Single song performance slots are given in the order of arrival and we hand out chord sheets for 2-3 all-skate songs to involve everyone. 
There is a house band to accompany you if you wish, just bring leadsheets or chord sheets for them to use.
This event is BYOB, but please consider purchasing your beverages/snacks from our wonderful neighbors in Avondale – we love supporting local businesses! 
Finally, these events are free, however we request a pay-what-you-can Venmo donation to cover the cost of the house band.

Higher Calling Christian Academy (HCCA) is a faith-based learning community located in South DeKalb County dedicated to helping children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively in a safe and nurturing environment. Our Summer Camp 2026 theme, “Choose Your Adventure: A Summer of Discovery at HCCA,” gives families the flexibility to enroll their child for the entire summer or select individual weeks based on their child’s interests. Throughout the summer, campers ages 5–12 will experience engaging, hands-on learning through themed weeks focused on gardening and sustainability, STEAM exploration, sports and teamwork, entrepreneurship, leadership, and creative discovery. Campers will participate in exciting activities including outdoor exploration, science experiments, engineering challenges, team games, creative arts, field trips, and youth business projects. A strong focus of our summer program is literacy and enrichment.
