Avondale Estates Christmas Tour of Homes & Holiday Market

Our 49th Annual Christmas Tour will be on Sunday, December 13, 2026 from 2:00-8:00. To celebrate the Centennial in Avondale Estates, six homes, all built in 1926 will open their doors for the tour. Together, the homes represent the diverse architectural styles that helped shape the city in its earliest years, offering visitors a rare opportunity to experience these historic residences decorated for the holidays. Together, these homes tell a larger story about Avondale Estates: historic houses that continue to evolve while retaining the architectural details, memories and neighborhood connections that make them special. From lovingly preserved original rooms to thoughtful modern additions and richly personal interiors, the tour celebrates not only the homes themselves, but the people who continue to make Avondale Estates a distinctive place to live.

The Avondale Holiday Market will be from noon-6:00 and will include most of the old favorites selling their scarves, pecans, jewelry, photography, bird feeders, smoked salmon, jams and ornaments.

You may purchase pre-sale tour tickets at Finders Keepers Consignment, Garage Door Studio and Decatur Intown Ace Hardware for $20 or online at bigtickets.com and the Avondale Lake House on the day of the tour for $25

Tour buses will pick up passengers at the downtown parking lot at 6 Lake Street for those who have reserved a spot.
