A woman is facing charges after police say she pulled out in front of a DeKalb County patrol car, causing the car to crash into a telephone pole on Thursday.

Tingiero Ma Lourdes, 55, has been charged with driving without a license and failure to yield, according to WSB-TV. Lourdes’ two children were shaken up after the accident, witnesses told the station.
According to DeKalb police spokesman S.R. Fore, an officer was driving a patrol car on Glenwood Road near Interstate 285 just after 4 p.m. when Lourdes’ passenger car pulled out in front of the patrol car. The officer attempted to avoid rear-ending the passenger car, but in so doing left the roadway and crashed into a utility pole.

The officer suffered moderate injuries, Fore said; he has since been upgraded to good condition at Grady Memorial Hospital, WSB-TV reports.
