The Chick-fil-A Foundation welcomes Center for Civil, Human Rights CEO Doug Shipman to Leadership Speaker Series.
Chick-fil-A Foundation, National Center for Civil and Human Rights, Doug Shipman, free breakfast
In the spirit of fostering community and leadership, the Chick-fil-A Foundation sponsors a free Community Leadership Speaker Series. On Friday, February 20, the series will feature Doug Shipman, CEO of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. The Foundation is inviting members of the Atlanta community, including faculty and staff of Atlanta’s colleges and universities, local civic and community organizations and, of course, Chick-fil-A employees. A free Chick-fil-A breakfast will be provided.
Doug Shipman will speak about the strategy behind the exhibits at the center and how the unveiling has been received across the nation and around the world. The 2014 opening of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights proved to be very timely as racial unrest sparked acts of civil disobedience across the country. Mr. Shipman will also share his thoughts on this and how the center has been a catalyst for healing.
