The Comet Lanes Could Be Open By April
The bowling alley and pub run by the Twain's Billiards team will be on the old site of Suburban Lanes.

DECATUR, GA -- The Comet Pub & Lanes, the combination bowling alley, pub and pizza joint coming to the spot formerly occupied by Suburban Lanes, could be opening as early as April.
That’s according to a reply from management on a Facebook post Thursday.
Being launched by the same folks who run Twain’s Brewpub and Billiards in downtown Decatur, The Comet will aim to scratch the bowling itch for those missing Suburban Lanes -- one of the businesses that has shut down during a wave of redevelopment that includes a new Walmart at Suburban Plaza.

But with a decidedly retro feel, The Comet will also be a full-service bar and restaurant, featuring craft beers and custom cocktails, burgers, pizza and the like.
In comments on the same post, which unveiled The Comet’s logo, staffers said they will host bowling leagues in the fall and that we’ll see an April opening date “if all goes as planned.”
