Construction Resources Announces Partnership with HomeAid Atlanta

HomeAid is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building transitional homes for temporarily homeless families and individuals.

Construction Resources, Inc. is honored to announce that it will once again be partnering with HomeAid Atlanta to aid in the construction of Rainbow Village. The company’s Atlanta Glass & Mirror, Inc. will be donating vanity mirrors, wire shelving and bath hardware; Atlanta Marble Mfg., Inc. will be installing cultured marble vanity tops for the project; Atlanta Kitchen, Inc. will be supplying Corian kitchen tops and Builders Floor Covering & Tile will be doing the flooring.

HomeAid is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building transitional homes for temporarily homeless families and individuals. This project will be the organization’s third apartment building at Rainbow Village, a long-term housing community for homeless families in north metro Atlanta. The six-unit apartment building will add 36 beds for families in need. Each apartment will include three bedrooms, kitchen, living room and two bathrooms.

Most of the residents at Rainbow Village are women who have fled lives full of domestic violence and poverty. While staying at Rainbow Village, residents can find refuge, recover and learn how to rebuild their lives with support from a community-based family surrounding them.

Construction is set to begin in October as part of Phase III of Rainbow Village’s “Building strong communities, one family at a time.” Once completed, the campus will have 30 family “villages” with a community center and family service center.
With the goal to break the cycles of homelessness, poverty and domestic violence, Rainbow Village will teach adults and children how to believe in themselves again as they start a new chapter in their lives.
