Date for Oakhurst Porchfest 2016 Announced

The date for Oakhurst Porchfest 2016 has been announced.

Next year’s event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, reports Decatur Metro.

The first Porchfest was held in Ithaca, NY, eight years ago, with the concept of having musicians play an afternoon of music on front porches throughout the community. Oakhurst Porchfest was a joint collaboration of resident Scott Doyon, Decatur Metro, and the Decatur Arts Alliance.

Andrew Lincoln, star of the insanely popular AMC series “The Walking Dead,” took time away from his zombie-killing duties to attend this year’s inaugural Oakhurst Porchfest:
