Higher Calling Christian Academy (HCCA) is a faith-based learning community located in South DeKalb County dedicated to helping children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively in a safe and nurturing environment. Our Summer Camp 2026 theme, “Choose Your Adventure: A Summer of Discovery at HCCA,” gives families the flexibility to enroll their child for the entire summer or select individual weeks based on their child’s interests. The City of Decatur Police released a sketch Thursday of one of the suspected armed robbers of a  in downtown earlier this month. The incident occurred as a man and woman from out-of-town were returning to their parked car near Decatur High School on June 12. During the attack, the female victim was shot in the abdomen, though not critically; and the man assaulted. The robbers fled in the victims' 2004 red Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck. A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to identification and the arrest of the suspects. Tips and information will be kept anonymous.
