Decatur City Schools Dismissing Early Friday
After-school and Saturday activities have been canceled, though.

DECATUR, GA -- All City Schools of Decatur will be dismissed two hours earlier than usual Friday because of forecasts for nasty winter weather.
On its website, the school system also said all after-school and extracurricular activities are canceled for Friday afternoon and all day Saturday.
All after-school activities for Friday and activities scheduled for Saturday, including athletics and SAT testing have been canceled, however.

The same winter storm system expected to clobber the northeast on Friday is forecast to bring as much as two inches of snow -- as well as freezing rain and sleet -- to parts of metro Atlanta. The worst of the winter weather, however, isn’t expected until later in the day.
Cobb, Fulton, DeKalb and city of Atlanta schools all had announced plans to close early by Friday morning.
