Decatur Election Results 2021: Commissioner And School Board

Voters in Decatur have cast their ballots in races for city commissioner and board of education. Check Tuesday night for the results.

DECATUR — Polls have closed in most locations Tuesday as Election Day has come to an end. Decatur voters have cast their ballots in the 2021 municipal election. This year, Decatur voters decided on races for city council commissioner and Decatur City Board of Education.

Hans Utz qualified to run for the Board of Education District 1, Post A seat and for District 2, Post A the candidates are Carmen Sulton and Dan Baskerville. Incumbents Lewis Jones (District 1) and Heather Tell (District 2) are not running for reelection.

Decatur City Board of Education At-Large member Jana Johnson-Davis is the only City Schools of Decatur incumbent to qualify for re-election. She's running unopposed.

Decatur’s District 2 commissioner and mayor, Patti Garrett is unopposed in the District 2 race. Incumbent Kelly Walsh and challenger Katie Bell qualified for the City Commission District 1, Post A seat.
