Decatur Gets New Black Lives Matter Mural
Through a community effort, Decatur now has a new mural to pay tribute to the Black Lives Matter movement.
DECATUR, GA — A Decatur street has a new Black Lives Matter mural. The community came together to help local artists last weekend.
The City Commission approved the plan for the mural, reported the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. It’s painted on North McDonough Street between Trinity Place and Howard Avenue, just behind the downtown square and in front of Decatur High School.
The three artists who designed the mural were Sharanda Wilburn, George F. Baker III and Petie Parker. Artist Chris Wright provided stencils of the street-sized letters.
