Decatur High School Closed Today Because of Plumbing Problems

Students were also sent home early yesterday afternoon.

Decatur High School is closed today because of plumbing issues.

Here’s a statement from the school system that was sent out late Thursday evening:

“Due to continued plumbing issues at Decatur High School, school is cancelled for Decatur High School students tomorrow, December 18, 2015. Decatur High School staff will report for work at their regular time.

“The Frasier Center is on a different sewer line will be open normal operating hours. All other CSD schools will be open and operating as usual.

“If students left anything at DHS that they need for the holiday break, they may come to the attendance office between 10:00 am -11:30 am.

“When we return from the holiday break, staff will work with students to make-up any missed exams.”

Decatur Metro reports the school closed shortly after lunchtime on Thursday, citing ongoing plumbing issues.
