Decatur High School Holds Car Parade For Graduating Seniors
Decatur High School 2020 graduates participate in a car parade during the coronavirus pandemic.
DECATUR, GA β City Schools of Decatur has been celebrating graduating seniors with a car parade. Students from Decatur High School living in the Lamont/Vidal neighborhood recently participated. In a YouTube video each car can be seen driving slowly with a graduate waving from the sunroof or hanging out the window. The vehicles are decorated with flowers, balloons and some even with words to show school spirit.
According to the school district's website, a virtual graduation for Decatur High School is supposed to happen May 29. The district didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

"Over the last few weeks, we have been developing plans for recognizing our seniors, issuing refunds for fees, developing contingencies for the next school year, and more. Although some of these plans are not yet finalized, we think it is important to inform you that we are working on them.
