Decatur Homeowner Shoots, Kills Home Invasion Suspect

DECATUR, GA — A Peachcrest Road homeowner shot and killed an intruder Thursday morning, DeKalb County Police said.

Officers responded to the scene around 5:30 a.m. The man told officers he shot another man who tried to enter his home, police said.

The suspected intruder was taken to a local hospital, where he died, police said.

Charges are not expected to be filed, police said.
