Decatur Man Charged With Murder In Stonecrest Mall Shooting

DECATUR, GA — A 25-year-old Decatur man charged with Felony Murder was arrested Monday. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Fugitive Unit along with the US Marshals arrested Decatur resident Trayvon Ramon Williams, according to a news release.

Williams is charged with Felony Murder in the shooting death of Kevin T. Mcleod-Downer.

According to authorities, Williams was one of several subjects suspected of being
involved in an incident in the parking lot at The Mall at Stonecrest on September 29 in
which multiple shots were fired and Mcleod-Downer was fatally injured.

Sheriff’s deputies located and apprehended Williams at an apartment complex off Covington
Highway in DeKalb County, where he was taken into custody without incident and transported
to the DeKalb County Jail.
