According to the Marietta Daily Journal, police say Debyron Johnson was waiting inside a red Chevrolet Camaro in the parking lot of a CVS in Marietta on March 11 while accomplice Willie Hardison went inside trying to buy codeine syrup with a forged prescription.
Police were called to the scene and took Hardison into custody, but were informed that Johnson may also be involved, the MDJ said. An officer went out to investigate Johnson, but he quickly got into the driver’s seat and fled the scene, striking the officer in the leg.
