A Decatur man is sore but satisfied after he won the 2015 Publix Georgia Marathon on Sunday with a time of just over 2 and one half hours.

According to FOX News, David McWilliams, 23, is a divinity student at Emory University and was participating in just his second-ever marathon when he crossed the finish line ahead of the 10,000 or so men and women battling through the weather and the hilly terrain on the Atlanta course. The Methodist minister-in-training turned in a time of 2:34 over the 26.2 mile course.
Canton resident Kaye Anne Starosciak, 41, won the women’s division with a time of 3:05; she will soon be up north running in the Boston Marathon.
