- Officials have issued arrest warrants for a Decatur man who tried to spend over $38K using a fraudulent debit card. 23-year-old Deonte McDowell came to police attention after his victim reported the unusual charges on their credit card. If you have any information that can aid in the investigation, contact Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner at (404) 232-1388. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- Tanisha Frazier, Oakhurst Elementary School principal, has announced her resignation. In her resignation letter to parents, Frazier explained that after her four years as principal she is becoming a Director of District Partnerships with EL Education. The district will soon release information on the hiring process and its plans to replace Frazier. (Decaturish.com)
- Police have arrested a Decatur man driving a stolen U-Haul truck. 50-year-old Christopher Lavincent Williams was arrested in Mobile, Alabama, and was found to be in possession of burglary tools. The police also recovered lawn equipment items, but it is currently unclear if those items were stolen as well. (Fox 10 News)
