Decatur To Observe Arbor Day on Friday
Avondale Estates also has Arbor Day activities planned

DECATUR, GA -- If you’re looking to get into the Arbor Day spirit, the City of Decatur invites you out Friday morning to plant some trees.
In a blog post, the city announced that a tree-planting and tree-maintenance gathering is scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday at Decatur Cemetery.
“Come help Decatur grow a stronger and healthier tree canopy and celebrate Arbor Day at the same time,” the post reads.

Also, Avondale Estates will be celebrating Arbor Day, as well as its 32nd year of having the distinction of being a Tree City.

An Arbor Day celebration is set for 1 p.m. at 22 Dartmouth Ave., according to the city’s newsletter.
The Avondale Estates Garden Club has donated funds for the purchase of a memorial tree.
