Decatur Police Seeking Missing Teen

Nya Slaughter was last seen around 5 p.m. on Monday in downtown Decatur, according to police.

DECATUR, GA — Police in Decatur are asking for the public's help in finding a teen who is believed to have run away.

Nya Slaughter, 14, was last seen at 5 p.m. on Monday at the Chick-Fil-A on East Trinity Place in downtown Decatur. She was wearing black jeans, burgundy ankle boots with laces, a white, burgundy and blue horizontal striped shirt and a black, sleeveless ski vest with a fur-trimmed hood, according to Decatur Police.

She is described as a black female, about 5' tall and weighing about 170 pounds.
