Decatur Police Seeking Sexual Battery Suspect
At the Decatur Library, the man told a 19-year-old woman he knew her from elementary school and asked her to follow him to a stairwell.

DECATUR, GA — Decatur Police are asking for the public's help capturing a man they say exposed himself to a 19-year-old woman then fondled her at the Decatur Library.
Last week, a Decatur Police Department officer responded to the library, at 215 Sycamore St., to meet with the 19-year-old. She told the officer that, at about 12:40 p.m. on Jan. 19, she was approached by a man she didn't know as she was about to enter the restroom at the library.
He claimed to know her from elementary school and said he needed to talk to her about something private, according to a post by police spokeswoman Lt. Jennifer Ross on community website Nextdoor.

She followed the man to a stairwell, where he started asking her questions and making sexual comments. He then exposed himself, Ross said. As the victim turned away, police say, the man grabbed her buttocks.
After she told him she was feeling uncomfortable, the man kissed her on the cheek, then on her mouth, Ross said. After a few minutes, the man stopped. The teen left the library and later told her mother about what happened.
