For Decatur, Post Offices With Late Hours On Tax Day

DECATUR, GA -- Twenty-six metro Atlanta post offices, including Decatur's main office, will be open past 5 p.m. on Monday, April 18, to accommodate last-minute tax filers.

This year, the government will consider any tax return mailed with an April 18 postmark to have been filed on time.

Locally, on Tax Day, the main Decatur Post Office will be open from 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m

Doesn't sound late enough? Well, don't give up hope. There are options for even the very latest of tax-day procrastinators to file on time.

The Postal Store at 1605 Boggs Rd. in Duluth is open for retail services until 7 p.m., but has a 24-hour self-service kiosk, which will take drop-offs until midnight.

And the Atlanta Main Post Office, at 3900 Crown Rd., will be open 6 a.m.-midnight on Monday and staffed to provide retail services and collect returns until midnight.
