Decatur Resident Joins staff of Covenant Presbyterian Church

Covenant Presbyterian Church (www.covenantpresbyterian.us) has named Decatur resident Dana Waters Assistant Director of Youth Ministry.  In his new role, Waters will assist Youth Director Katherine Blankenship with creating and implementing programs for the church’s younger members, from 6th - 12th grade, utilizing music, art, prayer and laughter.  Youth programs include Sunday School classes, as well as Sunday evening fellowship with dinner, Bible study, spiritual formation, outreach and recreation.  Throughout the year the youth enjoy weekend retreats and twice annually they lead “Youth Sunday” services for the congregation of the historic Buckhead church.

“Earlier this year we welcomed Katherine into her new role at Covenant Presbyterian, and now we are delighted to have Dana and his wife, Sonya, join us,” said Dr. Jill Ulrici, associate pastor.  “Nurturing the younger members of our congregation is a crucial component of our ministry, and I think Katherine and Dana will make a great team.”
