Decatur Siren Test Wednesday Afternoon

If there's an actual inclement weather situation, the test will be postponed until Thursday.

If you’re in Decatur at 5 p.m. Wednesday and hear sirens going off, it doesn’t mean there are tornadoes or Soviet nuclear missiles approaching.

According to The Decatur Minute, the city’s monthly test of the outdoor siren system will be held from 5 to 5:01 p.m. Wednesday, provided there isn’t actual inclement weather in the area. If there are storms, the test will be delayed until Thursday, the city says.
