Decatur Starbucks Set to Reopen Friday

The Starbucks on the Decatur Square is set to reopen Friday, after a series of week-long repairs that allow the store to serve beer and wine.

According to Decaturish, the store received its alcohol license from the city last month.

The store had been closed since Sunday evening.

USA Today reports the company has been testing the viability of alcohol sales in its stores for several years, and now is accelerating those efforts.

The chain’s evening menus are including wine and craft beer selections, the company says. Menus vary by region.

The company also says 70 percent of its customers drink wine, and its research show its customers are twice as likely to drink beer than the national average.
