UPDATE: DeKalb County police are searching for a suspect in a Thursday robbery in Lithonia which left another suspect dead.

According to WSB, the two suspects entered the Paradise Island Smoke Shop on Snapfinger Road and asked to see an item. When the employee turned around, one of the suspects put a shotgun to the back of his head. The employee grabbed the shotgun’s barrel, pulled out his own gun, and killed the suspect, WSB said.
The second suspect fled the scene in a white SUV, WSB said.

ORIGINAL STORY: Decatur police believe at a store that was being robbed shot and killed the suspect instead.
According to WSB-TV, the employee at the Paradise Island Smoke Shop on Snapfinger Road shot and killed the robber on Thurday afternoon. No other information was immediately available.
