UPDATE: DeKalb Boy Accidentally Shoots Self
The 10-year-old has been rushed to the hospital in critical condition, police say.
A 10-year-old DeKalb County boy has been taken to the hospital after police say he accidentally shot himself in the head on Monday.
According to DeKalb County police, the incident occurred on Embarcadero Drive in Lithonia at approximately 1 p.m. Police say that a 24-year-old relative of the child was at home at the time of the incident and add that the weapon has been recovered.
Police say the child has been taken to Egelston in critical condition.
