DeKalb CEO Announces State Of The County Address

Event will be held March 30 at the Thalia N. Carlos Hellenic Community Center.

DECATUR, GA -- DeKalb CEO Michael Thurmond’s will give his State of the County Address on March 30, the county announced Thursday.

Residents, business owners and other stakeholders in the community are invited to attend.

The address will be delivered during a luncheon that begins at 11 a.m. at the Thalia N. Carlos Hellenic Community Center.

Thurmond, who has been in the county's top seat for a little more than two months now, will share his vision for DeKalb and update residents on high-priority projects in the works.

“I am eager to recap my first 90 days in office with the community and share the upcoming initiatives for the remainder of the year,” Thurmond said in a statement. “This is truly an exciting time for the county.”

The Council for Quality Growth and DeKalb Chamber of Commerce is hosting the luncheon. Registration is required.
