DeKalb Commissioner To Host Townhall Series At All District 5 Libraries

Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson will update residents on the Fruitful Library Initiative and the DeKalb 2050 Unified Plan.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb County District 5 Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson will meet with residents Wednesday and throughout April to discuss the Fruitful Library Initiative and other district updates.

The townhall is Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Salem-Panola Library, 5137 Salem Road, Lithonia. Commissioner Davis Johnson will also educate the public on the DeKalb 2050 Unified Plan, according to a news release. Attendees will have an opportunity to review the progress in the 5th District over the last year.

Free Italian ice will be given out and residents can be entered into a drawing to receive a $100 grocery gift card to help fight food insecurity in the district, according to the release.

The mini townhall series will be held at all District 5 libraries.
